Class Description:
Course Overview
In this course students will receive an overview of the JCI Facility Explorer field controller product line and learn how to create new programs and modify existing applications using the Controller Configuration Tool (CCT). This course covers configuring hardware and software settings to establish communication with controllers, configuring program applications (CAF files), testing, and validating applications.
Prerequisites
- Each student must bring a Windows-based laptop running Windows 10 or Windows 11 with a licensed copy of Johnson Controls CCT installed and updated to the latest revision prior to class.
- Students who do not already have a CCT license, version 17.0 or higher, are required to purchase the CCT TL-BUNDLEFX-0 license (Johnson Controls TL-BUNDLEFX-0 - Tool Bundle, Facility Explorer | Cochrane Supply) before attending class. Please note that license processing and delivery can take up to one week, so we strongly recommend purchasing your license as early as possible to avoid delays in accessing the required software and training environment.
- A CWCVT Wireless adapter will be provided for classroom use. These adapters can also be purchased from any Cochrane Supply location (Part Number: TL-CWCVT-0).
- Students are expected to have a functional working knowledge of Windows and computers, including file navigation, folder structures, basic browser use, cut/copy/paste functions, and mouse and keyboard operation (left/right click), in order to be successful in this class.
- A second monitor is recommended for all virtual classes.
